Livingston Roofing was founded in 1957 in Livingston Parish, Louisiana by Clarence and Eve Chenevert. The company specialized in commercial and residential roofing installation, as well as sheet metal work. After a few years in business, the Cheneverts moved the headquarters to Baton Rouge. Their son, Skip, took over the business in the early 1980's and ran the business until he passed away in 2004. In 2005, Chuck Chenevert opened the business as Livingston Roofing & Sheet Metal, LLC. As the third generation of roofers in his family, Chuck lives and breathes roofing. He is proud to carry on the legacy of craftsmanship and integrity set forth by his father and grandfather.
A Louisiana state contractor’s license/registration is required if contractor performs work with total project value over the minimum threshold to hold a commercial license, residential license, mold remediation license, or an home improvement registration in the state of Louisiana.
By Louisiana law contractors need to get a home improvement registration to perfrom any home improvement projects over $7,500 but not in excess of $75,000 including labor and materials. Contractor's registration is valid for one year once it is issued. A home improvement registration does NOT cover swimming pools.
