"I'm third generation of my family to run this business," says Russell Shavitz owner of Shavitz Heating and Air Conditioning. Since childhood he's seen the industry evolve from ice and coal deliveries to refrigerants and computerized heat load calculations. "Today, the business is changing on an almost daily basis, so I have to keep up with the newest technology." Helping him keep up with the latest technology are his son, Bronson, a graduate of the University of Illinois in Chemical Engineering, and daughter Diana, who runs the office with wife Juliet.
