Olympic Heating Inc. was established in 1926 by John Pursel in a shop on Roosevelt Way, in north Seattle. When Leland Pursel finished his tour of duty from the U.S. Army in 1946, he took on full time shop duties with his dad. In 1955, the shop moved to its current location on 15th Ave. N.E.
In 1970, Randall Pursel, the son of Lee, started working in the shop and learned the business from the ground up, and has continued until the present. Now Randall's two sons, Sean and Pat have become employed at Olympic Heating, and are learning the trade also. This will continue the long history of the same family business owner and operation that has proven to be successful for over 86 years, with four generations.
