The company was originally started by J.D. Lightfoot and W.R. Owens under the name Lightfoot & Owens Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Services. In 1974, Al Lightfoot moved back to Palestine to work with his father and Mr. Owens. When Mr. Owens retired in 1979, J.D. and Al Lightfoot continued the business as Lightfoot Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Inc. J.D. retired in 1984, and Al has been the sole operator of the family business since.
The company has continued to increase the diversity of serviced items to provide its customers a single source of dependable service. We are currently one of the only service companies in the area that is an authorized service provider for manufacturers such as True, Scotsman, Manitowoc, Follett, Hoshizaki, Traulsen, and others. Through dedication and long-term employees, Lightfoot Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Inc. has been able to achieve success and become a well-known and respected business in the East Texas area.
