Guardian Overhead Doors is locally owned and operated in Jacksonville, FL. Our team is comprised of certified technicians with over 12 years of experience. Our motto reads: "Guardian Overhead Doors not only protects your home, We honor those who protect our nation." We are hopeful to one day soon, as the company grows, begin to hire veterans of our Armed Forces. Training will be provided to become a certified highly-skilled overhead door technician. This will give them another direction to go in life after the Armed Forces and give them the ability to change careers successfully. With the percentage of veterans that are becoming homeless and the need for jobs on the rise. We are hopeful to one day offer a healthy work environment, job security, and excellent benefits to those who have sacrificed so much to help keep our freedom and rights intact.
Lester's Garage Doors was the first full-time specialty garage door company in Gainesville. We were founded in 1969 by Don Lester (deceased), at the request of the Gainesville builders, with the help of God and some dear friends. In the early days, Don and two of his growing sons, Steve and Richard Lester installed the garage doors after school and on weekends. In 1981 Ed Hoeft began work for Lester's Garage Doors as an installer. Ed became known for his dependability, high skill level and strong ethics. When Don Lester retired in 1995, he left the company in the hands of the next generation of Lesters, Ed Hoeft, Janet Lester Hoeft and Richard Lester. As the local leader in the industry, Ed earned a Building Contractor's License. All our garage doors and installations exceed or meet the current hurricane codes for the area. Still known for "treating people as you would like to be treated," we have maintained our reputation for the best service in town!
After 20 plus years experience in home remodeling and new construction, I finally understood the business side of things. I didn’t exactly like it to be short. So, I made a leap of faith to bring what I think more businesses need. That being honesty, fair prices, and to bring a more personal relationship between the customer and us.
