In 1972 my father started A-1 plumbing & Sewer . His primary focus in the plumbing industry was service and repair. Has his company grew, he added new construction. I worked for my father in the mid to late 70's while in high school. I also worked for him while in college. I had accumulated enough hours to pass the State of Illinois plumbing exam. I eventually I took over the business. Today my son Clayton (a fifth generation plumber) and is working to achieve his plumbing license with hopes of taking over. We have entered a new area of plumbing with modern equipment. Sewer cameras that have the ability look inside pipes to more accurately identify problems. Locating equipment to pinpoint exact areas underground where damaged pipe is. High pressure water jet systems to clear roots and debris from sewers.
