Davidson Roofing Company was founded in September of 2005 by Richmond native George Davidson. Based on the principle that quality material and workmanship would sell itself, George set out to build a company that stood out from the rest. Having worked in sales for over twenty years, George was confident that modeling the standards of his company on his own work ethic would provide the type of work environment he was looking for. Excelling in customer service, and surrounding himself with quality people, George took the steps necessary to start his own business. Since its creation, Davidson Roofing Company has provided quality roofing installation and repair to thousands of happy customers in Central Virginia and surrounding areas. Our founder and CEO Chris Good entered the construction and roofing industry in 1996. In 1997, Chris started his own construction company. He began by building decks, additions, and eventually high end, custom homes in the Lynchburg, VA area. In 2012, Chris decided to specialize in roofing, and his company became what is now known as Cenvar Roofing. As the Lynchburg branch grew, the company began to expand its reach. In 2016, the Roanoke, VA branch was launched, and In 2017, a branch opened in Charlottesville, VA. Today, Cenvar Roofing is operating 8 branches across Virginia, and providing thousands of customers with high quality residential roofing services.
Contractors are required to be licensed in Virginia. There are two features of a contractor license. The first one is the class of license which determines the cost of projects that may be performed and the second is the classification/specialty of license, which determines what works are permitted.

Building permits are issued by the local departments (cities and counties) in Virginia.
