LaClef Construction is a third generation post frame building company. It was birthed in 1996 when Scott LaClef, a laid off father of three, was approached by a local businessman about building pole barns. Scott had build pole barns off and on in the 1980s. He obliged and began erecting buildings with a 4020 tractor with a post-hole digger on the back and a loader bucket and makeshift boom attachment. Scott enlisted the help of his father and father-in-law, and worked this way for a couple years. Eventually Scott was able to buy his first skid loader and hire two full time employees.
Zeb and Zane both helped their dad through their high school years during summer breaks. Zeb went full time in 2005 and worked there supporting his growing family for nearly 15 years. In 2014 Zeb began experimenting with the contracting side of the business and in 2019, He went on to start LaClef Construction, LLC as a way to expand their services and help support the ever growing LaClef family.
