Established in 2001 in Glenview, Illinois, Houseworks began as a company that installed only tubular skylights (similar to the VELUX Sun Tunnel). We expanded rapidly and in 2005 aligned the company with VELUX, the worlds largest manufacturer of skylights.
In 2011 VELUX asked us to expand and become their only Five-Star Certified dealer/installer in Iowa so Houseworks Daylighting Solutions of Iowa opened an office/showroom in Des Moines (Clive).
Today Houseworks services more residential and commercial skylight accounts than anyone in Illinois or Iowa. We have a very active commercial desk that deals with structural and acrylic skylights not only in Iowa but across the US. Iowa previously had no Five-Star Certified dealers so Houseworks has successfully moved to fill that void. We are very pleased with the business that has developed in Iowa.
