Maksanty Tree LLC is our new name! Same Owner and same great crew! We were previously American Lawn & Tree, but have decided to specialize in strictly Tree work after years of training and growing as a company. We would rather be experts at one thing rather than decent at many things. We have over 10 years experience in tree-work and have a passion for Trees!
We started as a small company providing high quality tree care in New Jersey in 1983, then we moved to New Zealand in 2007 and started providing high quality tree care down under, then as a business we decided to move back to the United States and plant new roots in northern Virginia and have been operating successfully since 2010. We have certified arborists and qualified tree risk assessors on staff.
Contractors are required to be licensed in Virginia. There are two features of a contractor license. The first one is the class of license which determines the cost of projects that may be performed and the second is the classification/specialty of license, which determines what works are permitted.

Building permits are issued by the local departments (cities and counties) in Virginia. Homeowners should verify with permit office to see if they need a building permit or where they should file their application.
