I am still in these area's . I provide a service to the general public. Those who go beyond a estimate , I treat as they are the only thing that is important to me, through the completion of their project.
Hi my name is Russell Johnston. I got started in the tree business in 1989 as a teenager and have worked in it almost my entire adult life. I'm lucky to have stumbled into something I enjoy and I'm good at. I've worked in almost every aspect of this trade in the private sector and public service. I got my contractor license in 2001 and became a certified arborist around 2002. In 2005 I quit my job with the Dept. of the Interior in SF at the Presidio National Park to start my own business (not the best time to quit a cushy govt. job, LOL!!). In 2007 I had to go to work for U.C. Davis as an arborist due to the great recession. For 5 years I worked a full time job while building my business up until this year, 2013, and now I work for myself full time. WOOHOO!!
