We are a conscientious, reliable company and we treat your property as if it were our own. All of our staff are well trained professionals with at least ten years of experience. Our staff members pursue further education annually to stay current with industry standards. When you hire JSR you can count on great job every time. Born and raised in Elgin IL, I have always been a person to help people in my community. When I was in elementary school, I would shovel my neighbor's snow during Christmas break and snow days. During the fall months I would help the elderly rake leaves in my neighborhood. I have always had a passion for working outdoors and building relationships with people. It's no surprise to me or my family that I chose the career I did.
FJR Tree, Inc started as Roewer and Sons Tree Care in 1969. After graduating from SIU with a degree in Urban Forestry and obtaining his Arborist Certification, Fred, the oldest son, came home to run the family business. Shortly after, his brother Jesse graduated from SIU and became a Certified Arborist as well. The Roewer "Sons" are carrying on the tradition of dedication, passion, and hard work their father planted all those years ago.
Started in the tree industry with a passion to help those in need of quality tree care. Worked for other industry leaders that seemed to lose sight of the client/ tree relationship and vowed to never let that happen. Set up a highly skilled team of Tree experts, assembled the most advanced equipment in Northern Illinois, and have been trying to help our clients ever since.
Ken Nelson founded Nelson Tree Service-'The Cure for Trees', Inc in 1992 after working in utility line clearance. He found that the practice of just cutting trees was not enough, but there was a way to trim a tree so as not to promote unwanted growth, and not harm the tree. His passion fueled his desire to become a Certified Arborist, and he quickly grew a customer base from his side work that justified starting his own company. Nelson Tree Service-'The Cure for Trees' is still a family owned business, and the commitment is still in proper tree care practices. We are continuously striving to serve our customers in all aspects of tree care, and always look for new and better ways to do so.
