Richard Alvarez, the founder of Arbor Tree Surgery, developed the first line clearance safety program to be certified by the division of labor and industries and California OSHA. He was also the president of the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. American Arborists has inherited the same ideals in regards to safety, training and superior quality of service as employees are continually trained with the latest industry materials, e.g. ACRT and the ISA safety guide.

Alpen Tree Experts was formerly known as Cease Fire Defensible Space and Tree Service until 2012 when the name was officially changed. Cease Fire started as a defensible space specialist and grew into a full service tree company after owner, Ryan Kramer, became an ISA certified arborist in 2010. Changing the name to Alpen Tree Experts was the best way to convey to the public that we are no longer just a defensible space company. We still offer defensible space, but have grown to include such services as hazardous tree removals with or without the use of a crane, spikeless tree pruning and stump grinding.
Urban Woodland Tree Care LLC was founded by Anthony Bauwens in April 2017. After years of working for other tree businesses and exploring other related career paths in the arborist industry, it was time to make a greater impact in our local urban forests and create a company that was dedicated to maintaining and protecting the trees in our communities.
